The Mediterranean tour is a trip for the senses: it is a European driving tour in which you will visit lovely towns all over the Spanish Mediterranean, staying in enchanting luxury hotels, tasting flavours from the best Mediterranean restaurants, enjoying original activities and visiting important and rich Spanish cities.
The tour starts in Barcelona and heads down through Peñíscola to Valencia, before finally reaching Alicante. The main cities it includes are Barcelona and Valencia, where you will visit famous monuments like the Sagrada Familia and the City of Arts and Sciences.
We think the
“Mediterranean Tour” is the greatest driving experience of Europe, as you will discover the
Mediterranean Sea and beautiful places full of great hotels, good weather, and traditional
dishes like the famous paella of Valencia.
Arrive at Barcelona airport and check in on your vehicle, then you will drive to your first hotel for 2 nights. check in on hotel and have some free time to relax, then we have selected a beautiful sight view restaurant near the hotel to have nice dinner.
Day 2 is programmed for visit Barcelona without a schedule, you will get quality information at hotel’s reception so you can organize your day, however, we will give you information about restaurants and thing to do & visit. Also, check out our activities section to get highlights of Barcelona's famous places and monuments.
On the third day you will start your tour driving to the next hotel in a little region called Monroyo (Teruel) but in your way you will stop for lunch in a place named “Musclarium” which is an interesting experience because this “restaurant” is located on the sea and haves a molluscs cuisine theme. They served seafood that they personally breed, is such a great experience.
Check out from the hotel in Monroyo for your next destination; Valencia, but before you will visit 2 lovely towns. 1º Morella for a quick visit then continues to Peñiscola for a drink & snack at this small town of fishermen which has the curiosity of being the Pope's (Benedict XIII) pontifical palace in the year 1411. Then stop for lunch on an extraordinary quality food restaurant, in a little nautical port in Oropesa. Then continue to Valencia and check in the hotel.
Day 5 is programmed for visiting Valencia without a schedule, you will get quality information at hotel´s reception so you can organize your day, however, we suggest a restaurant for having famous Paella in “Arroceria Duna” if your plans allow it. After lunch, you will be on your way to next hotel in Alicante. Arrive at hotel check in and have some relax time at your private hot tub with amazing sunset views towards the mountains of Guadalest.
Have some relax time at the hotel and maybe visit the Guadalest town & castle, then go for lunch at a town called Javea, near the restaurant, there is a beach club called “La Siesta” for some drinks and enjoy beautiful sights of the mediterranean sea. Then go back to the hotel.
Check out from the hotel and if flight schedule allows it, have lunch at a lovely restaurant near the airport then check out your vehicle at the airport.
